Slate Italian Eatery was created in May of 2016. It was the idea of Chris Kline and Adam Smith. With the concept of true from scratch cooking. Most Italian restaurants have gone to heat and serve cooking. We at Slate refuse to be like everyone else. We felt it was time to get back to the basics. Thanks to the amazing efforts of chefs Adam and Ashley Smith we have found a balance between traditional and new Italian cuisine. We pride ourselves on having fresh local and imported ingredients from Italy every day. We like to think of our food as Italian comfort food. You know, the kind your mom would have made (if she were Italian).
